Bed Rest, Day 19

Baby Abby is still intact. And I made it past the point when Hannah was born (31w1d)! Which was a huge milestone. However, on that day my body must have thought that it was time to have a baby, because at about 9 pm I started having cramping pains that wouldn't subside. I rolled over and told SSG B that we needed to go to the hospital. He was out cold from taking Ambien. Jerk. So, luckily my friend Erin took me to L&D. I was having mild contractions and have dilated to two cm. Not exactly the news that I wanted to hear, but it could've been a lot worse, too. I was given medication to stop the contractions, and once it was successful, sent home. I haven't had any problems since then. But it is still scary. I do not want to have another preemie. It is very difficult to leave your brand new (tiny) baby at the hospital for the first few months of their life, and I am hoping that isn't something that we have to do again. But at least I know that I have made it a few days past Hannah's gestation at birth, and hopefully I will make it at least a few weeks.
(Hannah, two days old)
