All by Myself

Don't wanna be...all by myself...anymore.

Back to FLW he went. Just for three nights, but still. He switched units, and they are being rather demading with his time. He comes home from work later than ever, he spent a week in the field, and has had more staff duty than anyone has ever had! I want SSG B to actually be at home! And I guess what irritates me the most is the fact that there was no purpose to this trip, and he really isn't doing anything. But that is the army, right? It's a whole bunch of non-sense and waiting around. Like I always say, "If a woman were running it, it would be much more efficient!"

Of course, the other side to this is that he is having foot surgery Monday and will be on convalescent leave for 28 days! That's right...I will have a whiny, immobile husband here 24/7 for nearly a month.

So maybe this short break is a good thing, since he will be stuck to me like glue until the end of October. I just wish that we would have had time to do some stuff before he is unable to walk, and we are stuck in the house because he can't get around.

Such is life, I guess.
